WP1 - Transfer tool

The aim of this work package is to describe a flexible concept to transfer the content of various digital media carriers into image files for emulation environments as well as to study the issues of legality concerning the transfer of copyrighted material between media and in emulation environments

 

WP2 - Emulation framework

The aim of this work package is to specify and implement the system-side part (“core”) of the emulation framework and integrate this with the front-end of work package 3.

WP3 - Meta-data research

The aim of this work package is to specify and implement the front-end of the emulation framework; and the meta-data architecture without which the KEEP project cannot function.

 

WP4 - Portability of Emulators

The aim of this work package is to specify and develop a complete multi-layered virtual machine, designed to execute emulators written in assembly language or C.

WP5 - Integration testing, validation and technical sustainability

The aim of this work package is to test and validate the outputs from the technical work packages as a series of integrated solutions and to create and execute a long-term strategy to sustain the project’s outputs.

 

WP6 - Dissemination

Dissemination will promote the goals, progress and results to scientific, industrial, academic, emulation and video games developer communities at national, European and international levels using a wide range of communications methods. It will also be responsible for the organisation of Year 3 training workshops and other events.

WP7 - Management

The aim of this work package is to manage and coordinate the work across the whole of the KEEP Project, including maintaining relations with the European Commission.
