Software preservation workshop
Software Sustainability Institute organizes the workshop for software developers on 7 July 2010 in London. The developers can contribute to good practice on how to make software more durable and longer-lived.
The workshop is divided among several activities:
- Activity on software development for long-term use and reuse
- Activity on different approaches to software preservation
- Activity on arguing the case for software preservation
- Activity on delivering software preservation
Each activity represents a mix of information, discussion and summarizing designed to produce developer-led good practice in software preservation and sustainability. By building on attendees’ experiences and views Software Sustainability Institute aims to offer effective guidance that helps others in their work.
